Who sponsors clinical trials?
Clinical trials are sponsored or funded by a variety of public or private organisations or individuals such as physicians, medical institutions, foundations and pharmaceutical companies.
Researchers conduct clinical trials in many different settings. Major cancer centres and some specialized hospitals can conduct all phases of clinical trials; they have the most advanced facilities and highly trained staff.
