What is ITCC ?

ITCC stands for “Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer”. It is an academic European Consortium, comprising a preclinical network of 9 research laboratories specialising in paediatric tumour biology and pharmacology, and a clinical network of 34 paediatric oncology centres, with specific expertise in early drug development and clinical trials.


ITCC runs clinical and translational research connecting new drugs, biology and the unmet needs of children with cancer.


ITCC is a single European network linking:

  • 34 paediatric oncology centres with expertise in Phase I-II studies
  • 9 research laboratories specialising in tumour biology and pharmacology and operating under a consortium agreement
  • 6 European countries (France, UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria)

34 paediatric oncology centres, 3400 newly diagnosed patients per year, i.e approximately 25% of all new cases in Europe :

  • 850 leukaemias
  • 1650 solid tumours
